The FBC Children's Ministry motto is G2C or "Generations to Come". Psalm 145:4 says "one Generation shall commend your works to another. They will tell of your mighty acts." This is the foundation of ministry here at FBC. It is our desire to reach children and families for the gospel of Christ and make an impact for "Generations to Come". You won't want to miss out on the fun and learning at FBC!!!

   Christian Growth

Body Builders

Goal:    To become more like Christ by learning more about Christ.  Simply put, this is Chrisitan Discipleship.
Procedure:    Various Bible studies and small groups are offered on Sunday evenings at 5 p.m. that cover a wide-range of discipleship topics, such as parenting, finances, how to study the Bible, apologetics, men's studies, etc.

These ministries also meet outside the church walls at various times throughout the week.  We have many small group ministries that form around special needs (men's and women's issues) or through Sunday School classes. For our latest schedule of Body Builders Bible studies, please check out our weekly church bulletin.

   College Ministries

Our desire is to deepen our relationship with God, demonstrate Christ's love to one another and develop intentional personal bridges to share Christ throughout our world. Our goal is to be a student ministry where individuals are valued, strengthened and supported.

We meet Wednesday nights at 8:00 PM for our weekly bible study in the Upper Room in the Events Center and on Sunday mornings at 10:50 AM in Events Center. Come and join us this week!

If you would like more information about our college ministry, please contact Mark Palfreeman at 968-1316 or mark@fbcruss.org. Click on this link to travel to the college website!

   Foreign Missions

Again this year, members of the First Baptist Church, have been led and/or being led of the Lord to seek Him about participating in one of the mission trips where our church will be involved. As you know, God honors those that "give" as well as those that "go." If you would like to be a part of one or more of the trips by contributing to help defray expenses, you may do so by making your check payable to First Baptist Church. Please designate your contributions in any of the following ways:

1. "Volunteers in Missions " -- these funds will be divided among all trips on a pro rata basis.
2. "Africa, " "China, "or "Mexico" -- these funds will be divided equally among those participating in the specific trip designated.
3. To contribute to a specific person, designate the trip only on the check, with the persons name on a separate sheet of paper or notify Pastor Davis or Kelly Whitney of your desire for its use.

All gifts are tax deductible.

   Recreation

The Event Center features a full-size basketball court, two indoor volleyball courts, a walking track, a weight facility with treadmills and exercise bikes, and a large meeting room. It also provides the capability for holding special events such as banquets and concerts.

For information regarding all Event Center activities and hours of operation contact Jay Ham  at 968-1316 or jay@fbcruss.org.

   Women's Ministries

Women discipling women.  Typically, our women meet through various small groups, such as Beth Moore studies, at multiple times during the week.  There will be groups doing studys on Thursday mornings at 9:30 a.m., Sunday evenings at 5 p.m, and Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Janice James or Jonya Davis.

   Celebrate Recovery
