Life Story

I joined the staff of First Baptist Church in 2008. I was born in Rochester, MN. My wife Jackie and I were married in 1989. I graduated from Calvary Bible College of Kansas City, MO in 1992 with a Bachelors of Science in Pastoral Studies. My wife was raised in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Jackie graduated from Calvary Bible College in 1994 with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I pastored a church in Arkansas for seven years. While pastoring, I worked in construction. After pastoring, I continued working in construction; eventually owning a construction company in the area. Jackie homeschools the youngest two of our five children: Rebekah (1992) and is married, Thomas (1995), Kirsti (1997), Leanna(1998), Rachel (2002). We have one grandson.

Salvation Experience: At the age of 11, I trusted in Christ as my Savior at a vacation Bible school. I grew up in a Christian home but never realized me sin condition and need for a Savior until that day.

What is your favorite food? Smoked beef, pork, or chicken
What do you like to do in your spare time? Woodworking, grilling and smoking meat.
What is your favorite thing about church ministry? Working with and helping along side God’s people for Christ.
